Fay, excellence in outerwear for every season
Elegance, practicality, versatility: these are the watchwords of Fay, the brand who made of style and warmth its uniqueness. If you are looking for a coat that combines charm, comfort and resistance to cold, Fay jackets are definitely for you. Whether it’s summer or winter, has little importance: Fay was born to ensure maximum comfort, protecting you also from the rain thanks to its fabrics. Evergreen of the winter collection are the coats with double hooks and the fur hood without forgetting the Peacoat available in four colour versions. The parka can be made of fabric or waterproof fabric, while the long coat also has a version in cashmere. How to forget, then, the down jackets or the timeless 4 Ganci? The long, short and hooded Fay men’s down jackets can be both casual and formal by combining them with jeans or an "evening" suit. Iconic is the double front model, available in three colors, from the jacket cut or slightly longer up to half leg. The "morning coat" model IS more sporty, but elegant at the same time and is available in traditional blue and military green. Last but not least, the versions 3 and 4 ganci are available both in feather and in technical fabric.
Trench and coat for summer
Available in different fabrics and with imaginative lines, the Fay wraps are versatile but refined, perfect to complete any outfit and to ensure protection from any unexpected weather.
The Fay outwears are suitable for everyone: from those who love a casual and metropolitan style, to those who are looking for a raincoat to define their most formal and refined style. In our wardrobe we can’t miss the padded Rain Jacket, the trench coat (in blue and beige colors) with a waist belt and also the “morning coat” model, which is the perfect solution for those looking for a raincoat that combines versatility and elegance. In shades of grey, it reaches its maximum expansion of refinement while in navy blue tones, it adapts well even to the most casual outfits.
Fay, a bit of history about the brand
The Fay brand was born in the early eighties in Maine as professional technical clothing for firefighters and fishermen. The distinctive feature of the brand even then, in fact, was to resist the cold and weather, and Fay fabrics were ideal for extreme work.
It was precisely this resistance and impermeability that convinced Diego and Andrea Della Valle, Italian entrepreneurs at the head of the Tod’s group, to take over the Fay brand with a very precise idea: bring to Italy and the world a workwear that is suitable for urban use. Following this idea, Fay jackets become excellent garments, rising to cult objects in many European countries. (just mention the jacket 4 Ganci, iconic garment, always updated and reinterpreted, which stands out for the resistance of the fabrics and the practicality of accessories).
How to recognize and original Fay
As an iconic brand, Fay has in the past been the subject of numerous incidents of counterfeiting;
for this reason, it is good to pay attention to certain details to ensure that you don't encounter any unpleasant surprises and to be sure that you are dealing with an authentic Fay product. The first thing to observe when you have in your hands this type of outerwear is its label; An original Fay has four.
The first one, in cardboard, is applied through a practical lanyard on the red fabric hanger tape, at the collar of the outerwear, which represents the brand logo accompanied by the classic Newfoundland. Another label, which is identical to the one in the fabric, is applied on the back lining of the outerwear where you read "Made with special materials", sewn with white stitching.
An interesting note is definitely the labels on the sides of the jacket, one is always behind the lapel that characterizes the 4 Ganci closure flap, featuring the stitching of a smaller label, where the logo and the original Fay brand are shown, in the same colour as the main label.
Finally, there is an additional internal label in the Fay original 4 Ganci jacket at one of the large patch pockets, which depicts a stylization of the outerwear with the words Fay in the font of the original brand.
